TACKLE INFLATION TO LOWER OUR COST OF LIVING: With inflation skyrocketing, we must hold the line on government spending, push for greater energy independence, and reduce healthcare costs.

PUSH BACK ON BIG PROPERTY TAX HIKES: Skyrocketing property taxes increasingly penalize homeowners, especially middle-class families and seniors on fixed incomes. We must respect the taxpayers that have chosen to make our community their home.

PUT PEOPLE BEFORE SPECIAL INTERESTS: As we increase transparency and keep the Topeka lobbyists in check, government will be more responsive to the people and deliver better results.

BACK THE BLUE AND KEEP OUR STREETS SAFE: The first responders who are there for us in our times of crisis deserve our support. Strong public safety for Olathe families is one of Robyn’s top priorities.

FOCUS ON RESULTS IN THE CLASSROOM FOR OUR KIDS: We must improve results for our kids by getting more dollars into the classroom and focusing on academic excellence and real-world career skills.

About Robyn

Robyn Essex has served our community tirelessly as a city councilwoman, planning commissioner, emergency response team member, Rotarian, and Sunday school teacher. She has participated in the Olathe Civic Academy, Olathe Public Schools Citizen Academy, and Eisenhower Leadership Series, in addition to mentoring middle- and high-school students.

Robyn is a graduate of Olathe’s MidAmerica Nazarene University. She and her husband, Steve, who is a middle school teacher, have three sons who attended Olathe and Blue Valley Schools. Robyn has called Olathe home for nearly 40 years.
